14.3.25: We're delighted to reveal that the brilliant ANGUS KING will be the narrator for the unabridged audiobook edition of 'How Soon Is Now?', produced by Isis Audio and available via Audible from May 2.
Finding the right voice for a book as complex and subtly emotional as 'How Soon Is Now?' was a daunting task, but as soon as we heard Angus, we knew we had found the only man for the job.
A regular on TV and the West End, Angus's rich and versatile tones have also been heard in computer games, radio drama and corporate videos, as well as many high-profile audiobooks.
He has narrated books by writers as varied as Chris Brookmyre, Frankie Boyle and Gregor Fisher, as well as Douglas Stuart's Booker Prize-winning 'Shuggie Bain'.

27.2.25: We're delighted to reveal that Paul has signed a deal with Isis Audio, a division of large-print and audiobook specialists The Ulverscroft Group, to issue an audiobook release of 'How Soon Is Now?'
The unabridged reading of the book will be available as a download via Audible and other sellers from May 2, with the CD and library download version following on June 1.
A hugely-talented performer is already hot-footing it towards a studio to bring Luke Seymour and the Nostalgia Club to life.
We'll reveal our phenomenal reader's identity very soon, but rest assured we looked (and listened!) long and hard to find the right voice, and couldn't be happier with the final choice. Watch this space!

'How Soon Is Now?' set for audio release
14.2.25: It's 'End of a Century' release day at last!
The Kindle edition is now live on Amazon's servers, and the hardback and paperback versions shouldn't be too far behind.
To celebrate the big day, Paul has written an article about the book – with a little bit of background on 'How Soon Is Now?', too – for the Scottish Daily Express – and the lovely team over at the Express have seen fit to give two whole pages over to the book.

We can't say much at this stage, but keep your eyes – and especially your ears – peeled. You'll be hearing lots more about this in the near future, we promise...
1.2.25: It's nearly here! We can't wait to share Paul's next book with you all.

7.10.24: Work is gathering pace for the release of my next book, 'End of a Century'.
The text of the book is sitting on Amazon's servers awaiting its official release date of Valentine's Day, 2025.
Meanwhile, the front cover is complete. As with 'How Soon Is Now?', it has been designed by Hannah Nystrom, who has – once again – created something beautiful and totally in keeping with the mood of the novel. I can't wait to let you see it!
I won't give away too much at this stage, but 'End of a Century' is set in 1995, with the action moving from Glasgow to Camden and back again. I always find it difficult to pin genre labels on anything I've written, but I suppose romance/romantic comedy might fit this one best. It's a very sweet, warm and charming book, and I love it to bits – I hope you will, too!

8.7.24: The lovely folks at book discovery site Shepherd.com asked me to put together a list of my favourite reads of 2023. A tricky task, with so many great books around, but I managed to narrow it down to just three in the end. As you can see, Paterson Joseph's sublime 'Secret Diaries of Charles Ignatius Sancho' took the top spot, but close behind are two of my favourite music-related books of recent years. You can read my list here, and if you want to see my previous list for Shepherd – this time on my favourite books in which time is practically a lead character, all you need to do is follow this link.

30.6.24: The paperback and hardback editions of 'How Soon Is Now?' have just landed at Amazon!
Pictured left is our latest paperback proof copy (don't worry – yours won't have 'Not for Resale' written all over the front!) – and what a beautiful object it is.
After experimenting with a mean and moody matt finish for the cover, we ultimately decided on this sleek and stylish glossy finish, which feels extra luxurious in the hand as you immerse yourself in the gripping world of the eccentric and mysterious Nostalgia Club...
You can pick up a paperback copy – but why limit yourself to just one? – by going here.
And if you'd like the sturdy (yet still indubitably stylish) hardback edition, just follow this handy link here.
Meanwhile, for those who prefer a more digital option, the
e-book is still available on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Rakuten Kobo and Barnes & Noble Nook.
